What a great way to introduce children to the rainforest. They'll meet several different species of rainforest inhabitants while getting the message that everyone has their own special qualities and characteristics, and its important to be exactly who you are! The drawings are enchanting and Gracie's sweet smile will charm you. There's a great "background" section at the end of the book with more detailed information about the rainforest and the species represented in this book. We can't wait for the next book in the "stories from the rainforest" series.

Gracie, the glass tree frog is a delightful picture book. The characters draw the reader into the rain forest. There are two pages at the end of the book with information about the rainforest and glass tree frogs. The book was an interesting read for my elementary students. The authors are wonderful to meet in person and do a great presentation for elementary students about their book and glass tree frogs.

this pre-school picture book is unique in it's realistic illustrations of the Amazon rainforest and it's inhabitants. The book includes more detailed information after the story for parents and teachers who want to familiarize children with this vital and endangered area. A web site: storiesfromtherainforest.com contains updated pictures and facts about the rainforest and coming books in the series."
