From Manuscript to Masterpiece!

The Peppertree Press takes great pride in giving each aspiring author the dedication to every detail during the publishing process. We provide...

Professional Publishing with a Personal Touch!

Step One

The author's manuscript is thoroughly screened and evaluated before acceptance and is given a full assessment of not only the content, but also the title itself to ensure a universal marketability. It is the author's responsibility to give a final copy to the publisher, and it should be ready for copy editing with no additional changes to the copy at this time.

Step Two

After acceptance, the manuscript is electronically mailed to a staff editor, and for the integrity of the author's work and The Peppertree Press , the manuscript is fully edited for grammatical usage, punctuation, and spelling errors. Each editor has thirty days to edit the manuscript. After the manuscript is completed, it is sent back to the author in a red-line version and a clean copy. At this time, the author will have a chance to review the edits and accept or reject changes. The author will only review the manuscript and not change anything in the final copy. If questions and concerns arise, the author will be able to communicate with the editor via e-mail. Once the copy is accepted by the author, the final version will be e-mailed to the publisher and creative director for the copy transfer.

Step Three

While the editor is working on the manuscript, the creative director is designing a specific graphic color cover for the author's book. The author will provide a synopsis of his or her manuscript to the designer so he has a clear and concise vision of how the book should appear to the consumer. It is our goal at The Peppertree Press to design each cover and give it that curb appeal so the consumer will pick the book up and not set it down. The creative director has thirty days to do a graphic design of the author's cover and present it to the author for his or her approval.

Step Four

This is not the last step, but the last phase of preparing a manuscript for the printing process. The creative designer will use the editor's final draft and transfer the copy to the pages of your book. At this time, the file is uploaded to the printer, and the author will receive a book proof in hand for final approval. Once approved, books can be ordered through The Peppertree Press by the author, and bookstores and consumers can order worldwide. Some of the online bookstores include: Amazon.com, Borders Books & Music, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Baker & Taylor, Ingram and more.
